In my circle, ritual planning is solely the priestess' problem (and we all take turns so it's usually a relatively fair problem). In my grove, ritual planning usually involves a planning meeting and getting as many volunteers as possible to help you make this thing go. Both are very different experiences. I've led rituals for two and I've led rituals for 25. There are a lot of pros and cons for both small groups and large groups.
Pros for a small group: Less back talk about your idea, a more intimate vibe, often easier to accomplish actual magic.
Pros for a large group: Much more ritual drama opportunities,
